Fundraising Event for BC and National Team Feb 5, 2011 Pub Night
BC Powersoccer athletes and supporters had a very successful Pub Night on Feb 5 at the Burnaby Fire Fighter’s Club. It was a fun evening that included a buffet dinner, toonie toss, 50/50 draw, silent auction, live music and dancing amongst great friends.
These athletes are fundraising to send 2 teams to the National Powerchair Football Championships in Quebec in April 2011. The National team will be selected at this time and will travel to Paris, France to participate in the Powerchair Football World Cup in October 2011 for the very first time ever. The costs to send our teams to Quebec and Paris are estimated at $150,000, and in order to make this dream a reality, we are embarking on a fundraising campaign and asking for your support.

Powersoccer demo in Calgary on Aug 20, 2010
On August 19 – 21st a group of four BC power soccer players and their families traveled to Calgary to host a power soccer demonstration. The Calgary players had reserved the gym for four hours on the Saturday and we managed to cover many aspects of the game during that time. We focussed on the rules, officiating, fouls, set-plays, equipment etc. The time flew by, and the 13 participants didn’t want to stop!
It is through demonstrations such as this that we promote our sport and new teams grow throughout the country. It is our goal to have power soccer in every province in Canada one day.

BC Soccer demo on Canada Day July 1, 2010
Several Powersoccer players across BC were eager to demonstrate this exciting sport to all the spectators during Canada Day's celebrations with BC Soccer at Canada Place this July 1, 2010. It was a well attended event and we hope to gain more awareness of our program and to inspire new players to participate.San Jose Tournament May 22-23, 2010
Players from the Greater Vancouver area were able to represent BC Powersoccer as a team to compete in the International Powersoccer tournament in San Jose California. The team was able to tie twice the San Jose Steamrollers, the Western Region's top team and tied again to Santa Barbara Rollin' Gauchos. The team did lose 2 games but never allowed more than one goal due to their amazing defence, BORP Bay Earthquakes (Berkeley) at 1-0 and Hollister Freee Wheelers at 1-0. It was an exciting weekend and all the players look forward to meeting again with San Jose Steamrollers this October for the Americas Champion Cup held in Vancouver.Contact Us
